Our Pastor

I’m Pastor Tera Ertz, though that title still gives me the giggles a little. I am blessed to be an elder in the Global Methodist Church, and new Wesleyan movement focused on spreading the hope of Christ through the teaching of scriptural holiness and entire sanctification. I graduated from Liberty University twice! I earned a bachelors in Interdisciplinary studies with a focus in government and religion, then a Master of Divinity with a focus in Christian Apologetics. What that really means is I love to talk and write about Jesus and how faith in Christ impacts our interactions with the world around us in every area of our lives, from day to day living to civic involvement to understanding the wonder of the universe we live in.

I live in Williamsburg with my husband, Corey, our oldest daughter and her two kids. Our youngest son just moved home from South Dakota, and will be with us for a while too. When you add in Nuka the Great White Dog of the North (better known as our beloved, somewhat rotund husky) and our two cats, plus the occasional visits from our middle son and his wife, who live nearby, and various other friends and family, we’ve got a pretty full and usually joyful house.

From Tuesday night class meetings over a meal in our living room, to adventures in outreach ministry and developing new opportunities at Epworth to build relationships with Jesus and with each other, my favorite thing to do is help people grow in faith in ways that shapes their lives in joyful service to the Lord. I hope you’ll consider joining us some Sunday morning at 9, or come check out our family discipleship evenings, digital disconnect days, or one of the other amazing times for family, friends, and faith to intersect at the corner of Hwy 30 and Epworth Rd. Praying you have a blessed day and a glorious encounter with Jesus wherever you may be!
